Here are the results I got when I scanned with the OTL (I had to use OTL.com, the first OTL download link was blocked by my computer): OTL logfile created on: 10:11:15 PM - Run 1 OTL by OldTimer - Version 3.2.31.0 Folder = C:\Users\Becca\Downloads 64bit- Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (Version = ) - Type = NTWorkstation Internet Explorer (Version =. I had several pieces of the hardware replaced by Dell a few months ago, and the overheating has been better but the when I run CHKDSK it seems like the problem might be caused somehow by something related to the audio. I have a Dell XPS M1530 which was bought in 2009, and I am fairly certain it was part of the run of computers that Dell sold which had faulty NIVIDIA components which cause it to overheat. Running a CHKDSK seems to make the blue-screen crashing go away for a period of time, but after a few weeks/months it comes back and then shorter and shorter periods of time seem to elapse between crashes. It has been happening more often recently. I think this may be unrelated as it has been happening much longer than the trojan symptoms, but I am not sure. I have also had a long standing problem of my computer occasionally going into blue-screen and giving me a Kernal data error message. Downloading Malwarebytes caused McAfee to stop working (this happened before when I downloaded it a previous time) and then downloading F-Secure required me to remove all other virus-protection programs, so right at this moment F-Secure is the only security program of that sort still on my computer. None of the programs found anything wrong with my computer. To try and remove it I first downloaded Malwarebytes, then AVG, and finally F-Secure. My enter key has been sticking (it started spontaneously only about 2 weeks ago) and I read that that is a symptom of having a trojan. It also said that it found no infected files and that my computer was secure, which I found confusing, since that seems contradictory to it telling me there is a trojan. Recently I did a McAfee scan and it told me that I had a trojan but it did not indicate which tojan it was and it did nothing to remove it. Sometimes it tells me that it is Akamai netsession that is still running, other times I cannot figure out what is running at all. Hello! I have been noticing for a while that any time I shut down my computer I get a warning that there are still programs running, even though I have closed everything that I was intentionally using.
